In celebration of this cricket season, we have partnered with Nicholson Gin, one of London’s original gin brands with notable ties to Lord’s Cricket Ground, to fashion a series of bespoke cocktails. Four summer cocktails have been created and are available for guests to enjoy at the brasserie from Friday, 1 June.
Working closely with Nicholson Gin, The Ivy St John’s Wood bar team have created three exclusive cocktails as part of the brasserie’s main drinks menu including; ‘What a Peach!’, featuring Nicholson Gin, peach puree, orange bitters and a splash of lemon juice, ‘The Very Berry Bramble’, inspired by the British countryside and incorporating Nicholson Gin, lemon juice, strawberry, raspberry, blueberry and banana; and finally, ‘The Nicholson 66’, featuring Nicholson Gin, prosecco, and a hint of lemon juice and sugar.
As a further celebration of Nicholson Gin’s ties with UK cricket, guests will be able to enjoy ‘The Red Snapper’, an exclusive twist on the brasserie’s traditional Bloody Mary. Available to enjoy alongside the The Ivy St John’s Wood’s brunch menu, The Red Snapper features Nicholson Gin, tomato juice, lemon juice, sugar, salt and pepper, horseradish and a secret homemade spice mix.
Nicholson Gin is a premium London Dry Gin re-created true to the original family recipe for today’s guests to enjoy. Steeped in heritage and history, Nicholson Gin’s William Nicholson was heralded as the man who saved Lord’s in 1866, with the MCC adopting the brand’s ‘eggs and bacon’ colours as a celebration of this. With this in mind, The Ivy St John’s Wood, located only a stone’s throw away from Lord’s Cricket Ground, will offer an ideal setting for those wanting to relax and unwind this cricket season.
